Post Fatal rollover mva on I-96...

The photos I posted in the photo section were from that accident last night. Myself and a few others from BOFD made the news on WOOD TV 8 and Ionia Sentinel-Standard. You can see more on this accident on their websites. I can be seen in Yellow gear with a Black helmet.

We had a female patient in tramatic arrest and did manage to get a very week radial pulse on the patient after 6 of epi and 6 of Atropine. That patient died at 2300 last night after being flown out by AeroMed. 2 other patients were transported by ground unit.

Hell dude, she was already dead, the drugs just didn't let her know it right then...

She had about 10 minutes of down time prior to CPR. I was amazed that we were able to get a pulse back to be honest. I think all of us there were just trying to make it look good until the docs from AeroMed got there to call her, but about 6 minutes before they touched down, we went from PEA to looking like a viable rhythm and having a pulse.

But looking at the big picture, she had a huge, deep laceration to the right side of her head and it appeared that she may have had a hemothorax.

On another note, this past Sunday night, my other half had her first sz in 4 1/2 months and thankfully enough I was right here when she had it. I have to credit my daughter and my ex-wife's daughter with doing the leg work with grabbing my med kit so I could get her on high flow O2 right away. Betty said that she's never recovered from one so quickly. She told me that she normally takes over an hour to get right after one and Sunday night she came out of it in about 15-20 minutes which amazed me considering she seized for about 3+ minutes.
