Do any of you use this style stair chair and if so, what type of problems have you had with them as far as maintenance or breaking? And what are your thoughts about it?

We had some on a test basis, but I haven't seen one yet.

We have this stair-chair on our truck and I love it. I wish this was designed five years ago. This chair is easy to deploy, easy on the back and I think more comfortable for the patient. So far no major issues with maintenance.

I like them, although some of the people I work with still prefer the older stair chairs we used to use. With the "reds" it's extremely user friendly. Not going to swing around the landing with enough clearance?...Poof, just push the handles back in for a sec. Easy peasy. And the treads are a magnificent back-saver.

No problems so far, and no breaking. Well...other than it's a little difficult with really steep stairways. Really, you most likely shouldn't have a problem as long as it's used correctly and then put away properly. I hate shitheads that use stuff like that and then throw it back in the rig without upkeeping.

We call it the FFC, fat f&ck chair. The chair weighs too much, but is sweet when you have the 300 plus lber on the top floor. So far no problems with it, although it can be a bit of a pain in a tight, winding stairwell.

We have them, and love them. Although we don't have to use them too much but are great when we do. No maintenance/breaking problems so far.

We have them at my ft job and I love them. They're so much nicer on your back. The treads don't work well on carpet but you can pull the bottom handles out and use it like a traditional stair chair.

These chairs are awsome! Not only do they make your job easier and save your back, they are rugged. Been using them for the past 5 years and never had a problem either mechanically or in ease of use. They beat the hell out of the old ones.
