Hi everyone,
I'm new to the board. Just wanted to check in and say "Hi!"
I'm a teacher in my real job, but I volley with a rural company. I've been reading this board and wanted to be able to post and join the fun.

Are you the same teacher they did the news clip on, back in like Feb. I was down there for part of the selection process for Montgomery County, I thought at the time how nice it was to recieve public recognition for the community involvement. Either way welcome to the board

Which Department do you run with? I was a member of the Lexington Park VRS and also the Bay District VFD before I retired and moved to Washington.

RELAX. Keep your eyes and ears open, listen to your FTO and don't sweat it, you'll do fine. Oh did I mention to RELAX?

When I got hired by FDNY I did not live in NYC so I can sympathize. Just show up on time, do the best job you can, and try to scope out where you fit in. Oh yeah, relax.
it was easier for me because I am not married, & no kids.
