Hello everyone. I'm Wayne and I'm a combat medic serving in Afghanistan, north of Kandahar. I have been an EMT-B for 6 years and a volunteer fireman for a little longer. I was wondering if there are any combat medic threads I could post in and share stories with other 'Docs' serving in combat. Talk to you guys more soon.

Welcome from the VP of Peacheyland and a member of the MD group. You can send me your pictures and application for the esteemed Kilted Army of Peacheyland and I will get you squared away.
You will need to supply chocolate for the President and Diet Dew for Strw so she doesn't bend your spoons. Depending on her mood sporks may not be safe either. I'll take raspberry Mt.Dew as I am on duty for another 16hrs. Avoid the elephants and bunnies as the relocation funds are running low.

Weather: hot. Dust: bad.
I'm in Uruzgan Province, dust capital of Afghanistan. I was at FOB Lindsay (Shirzai near KAF) and Camp Lundell; now I'm at FB Tycz. I'm sort of a traveling medic.
Edit: I'm also originally from Rochester, NY. I'm a Guardsman out of Connecticut Street Armory in Buffalo. Go Sabres.

Everyone says the Box is the asshole of the world, but I think Asscrackistan takes the cake.
Keep your weapon clean, your body hydrated...and by God, keep your head down over there. :-)

No shit? My parents are from Buffalo. My mom lived on Dirkson and my dad on Cole Rd. They're up in Canandaigua now. Hot damn.
Anyway, better you than me. I did 25 months a country or two to the west of you in all the fun places. Come home vertical and with most of the pieces you left with!
