Pediatric anectine dose?

Hello everyone. I'm new to the site and have been searching for an answer on the web and have come up with nothing. The department I work for uses an adult anectine dose of 1.5 mg/kg in rsi and 2 mg/kg in peds. I can't seem to get a straight answer as to why there's a larger dose. Thanks in advance.

They metabolize succs quicker than adults, so a larger dose is needed in order to last a similar amount of time as in an adult.

That is what I was thinking, metabolic rate. Makes sense, but wasn't sure. I appreciate it.
